Aiding Katrina Victims

Victims of Hurricane Katrina are attempting to recover from the massive storm that is still making its way across the Mid-Atlantic States. American Red Cross volunteers have been deployed to the hardest hit areas of Katrina’s destruction, supplying hundreds of thousands victims left homeless with critical necessities. By making a financial gift to The Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need. You don't have to give an extraordinary amount, just give what you are able too.

UPDATE: Chris Pirillo reports that there are enormous amounts of free housing and other offers of help to Katrina Victims at Craigslist and help is needed to spread the word about these posts. Link

Starting Seeds

In past years I've always bought my annuals in the spring and summer. I've decided I'm going to try seed starting and hopefully have some small plants ready to transplant in my flower beds when spring starts. I've found some good resources on the subject.

I've been neglecting my blog too much mostly out of frustration with my computer and the mouse that never does what I want.

I'm setting a new goal to blog something at least once every few weeks. So please stay tuned.
